Culture refers to the shared patterns of behaviors, beliefs, values, customs, traditions, and artifacts that members of a society use to interact with their world and with one another. It encompasses the way of life of a group of people, including their language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music, and arts. Culture is learned and passed down from generation to generation through socialization and enculturation processes.

Culture can be understood in both a broad and a narrow sense:

1. Broad Sense: It includes everything that is human-made, such as tools, laws, and art, as well as intangible elements like language and customs.

2. images.pngNarrow Sense: It refers to the arts and intellectual achievements, such as literature, painting, and music, that are often considered to be the most refined expressions of a society.

Culture is dynamic and can change over time as societies evolve and interact with other cultures. It is also adaptive, allowing humans to cope with their environment and with each other. Culture is not static; it is constantly influenced by internal and external forces, including technological advancements, economic shifts, political changes, and interactions with other cultures.

In anthropology, culture is often studied to understand the diversity of human societies and the commonalities that bind them. In sociology, culture is examined in terms of its role in social structures and relationships. In everyday language, culture can refer to the appreciation of the arts and humanities, as well as the intellectual and artistic achievements of a society.
