Season 1
The Girl Who Learned to Be Strong
Besides, she was just an ordinary girl.
An only child who loved her parents deeply and, in her own little way, wished she could protect them from everything that hurt them.
Growing up, she had seen things a child probably shouldn’t have had to see. Moreover, she had watched her parents go through marital problems, witnessed the arguments, the silence that followed, and the moments when the home that was supposed to feel safe suddenly felt heavy.
Moreover, she didn’t understand everything.
But she understood enough to know that love could hurt.
And perhaps that was why, deep inside her, she carried a small fear of love—even before she truly understood what being in love meant.
Then secondary school happened.
That was where she experienced her first taste of love.
Young, innocent, and completely unaware of how complicated the human heart could be, she allowed herself to drown in the sweetness of having someone she could call hers. For a while, she forgot about the problems at home. Besides, she forgot about the things that made her heart heavy.
Moreover, she was simply a girl in love.
Until one day, everything changed.
Something happened—a painful emotional blow that hit her harder than she ever expected. In the middle of all the emotions, confusion, and hurt, she made a decision.
A hasty decision.
Once she would later wish she could take back.
But life doesn’t come with a rewind button.
Moreover, she had to live with it.
And slowly, she learned that sometimes growing up means carrying the weight of decisions you made when you were too young to understand their consequences.
Life moved on.
Moreover, she did different jobs whenever she could because she wanted to earn money and help her family. Moreover, she wasn’t looking for luxury. Besides, she wasn’t chasing an extravagant life.
Besides, she simply wanted to contribute.
Furthermore, she wanted to see her family smile.
Eventually, she got a job at a supermarket.
That was where another chapter of her life began.
Furthermore, she was friendly, approachable, and had beautiful dimples that appeared whenever she smiled. There was something warm about her that made customers comfortable around her.
But unfortunately, not everyone who smiled at her had good intentions.
Some customers tried to take advantage of her kindness.
And then there was her manager.
At first, she tried to see him simply as her boss. Someone she was supposed to respect and work with.
Until one day, he crossed a line.
He approached her and said something that made her uncomfortable.
“You know we can be doing this. Even if I’m married, we can still have sex.”
Furthermore, she couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
For a moment, she was stunned.
Then she gathered herself.
“No.”
That was all she needed to say.
Furthermore, she rejected him.
Furthermore, she had already been through enough in life to know that saying yes to the wrong person could cost her more than she was willing to pay.
But her manager didn’t take rejection well.
From that moment, the workplace changed.
The job she had taken because she wanted to help her family slowly became a nightmare.
Every day became harder.
Every shift came with tension.
The man who was supposed to manage her began making work unbearable for her simply because she had refused him.
But she endured.
She cried sometimes.
She questioned herself sometimes.
She wondered why life seemed determined to make things difficult for her.
Yet every morning, she still got up.
She dressed for work.
She walked through those supermarket doors.
And she kept going.
Because somewhere inside that ordinary girl was a strength she hadn’t discovered yet.
She didn’t know it then, but all the heartbreak, disappointment, difficult jobs, and painful experiences were slowly shaping her into the woman she would become.
And somewhere ahead of her was a love she hadn’t met yet.
A love that would make her question everything she thought she knew about love.
A love that would come when she least expected it.
But before she met him…
She had to survive everything that came before her
