She Was a Human Once. the Virus Made Her Nightmare ( Zompire) Episode 1

Season 1 · Episode 1

Chapter one

Slowly, the night passed, and darkness covered everything around the forest.

Deep in the middle of the forest stood a strange house. The trees surrounding it were taller than the house itself. It was a two-storey building made entirely of wood and covered with dry leaves. From the outside, it looked old and frightening.

Inside one of the rooms, a young lady was locked away without enough food or water.

She sat on the floor at the far end of the room with her head lowered, shivering from the cold and weakness. She wore a nightgown that stopped at her knees. Her hands were small and covered with dirt.

Her name was Flora.

Flora had been locked inside that room for many years. She was given food only once a day, and sometimes she went without water.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps.

Her eyes widened.

The sound came closer and closer until the door began to creak, as though someone was trying to open it.

Finally, the door opened.

Three men walked into the room. They were all dressed in suits.

The man in the middle wore a blue suit. His name was George. The man on his right wore a black suit and was called Vincent. The other man, standing on George’s left, was also dressed in black.

His name was Vincy.

George walked closer to Flora and bent down so he could look at her face.

“Hello,” he said.

Flora slowly raised her head. Her lips trembled as she looked at him.

George stood up and walked out of the room.

Vincent remained behind and dropped a loaf of bread near Flora.

Flora quickly rushed toward it. She broke the bread into several pieces and ate as fast as she could. She was so hungry that she barely stopped to breathe.

When she finished eating, she returned to her usual position. She folded her legs, sat quietly, and stared at the door.

After a while, Flora slowly stood up.

She walked toward the door and carefully opened it.

The house was silent.

She stepped outside and looked around. She moved carefully through the house until she noticed a glass of water sitting on a table.

Her eyes immediately fixed on it.

She grabbed the glass and drank every drop.

But it wasn’t enough.

Then she saw a large jug filled with water.

Flora rushed toward it.

Just as she was about to reach for the jug, Vincent grabbed her from behind.

“Where do you think you’re going?” he asked.

“Let me go! I want water!” Flora screamed, struggling to free herself.

Vincent held her tightly. After a moment, he allowed her to move closer to the water, but instead of letting her drink freely, he grabbed her hand and dragged her back toward the room.

Flora cried and begged him to let her go.

Vincent shouted at her before pushing her inside and locking the door.

Around 11:30 that night, Flora was asleep in the same corner of the room.

Suddenly, footsteps woke her.

She opened her eyes and stared at the door.

The footsteps continued for several minutes before finally stopping.

Then the door opened.

George walked inside.

Flora immediately became frightened. She rushed toward him and tried to push him away, but he was much stronger than her.

She struggled desperately to escape.

In the confusion, she fell to the floor and screamed.

Her eyes searched the room for a way out.

Then she noticed George suddenly running outside.

Flora quickly hid behind a pillar.

Vincent passed by without seeing her.

Flora knew it was her chance.

She ran out of the building.

She had no idea where she was going, but she kept running.

She ran through the darkness as fast as her weak body could carry her. Her heart pounded heavily in her chest.

Eventually, she became exhausted and stopped to catch her breath.

But she couldn’t rest for long.

Torchlights appeared in the distance.

Someone was coming.

Flora looked around desperately and noticed an old building nearby. It looked as though it had been abandoned for many years.

She rushed inside.

The building was filled with overgrown grass, dirt, and a terrible smell. Flora looked around for somewhere to hide, but she couldn’t find a suitable place.

Then she noticed an entrance leading farther inside.

She walked toward it and stopped.

She listened carefully.

Nothing.

She turned around, intending to leave.

Then she heard something approaching.

Her heart stopped.

A strange figure slowly appeared in the darkness.

It looked like a skeleton covered with human flesh.

Flora froze.

The creature continued moving toward her.

She closed her eyes tightly and stood completely still.

Outside, Vincent and Vincy heard Flora screaming from inside the abandoned building.

They rushed in after her.

The skeleton grabbed Flora and held her tightly. It was biting her hand while she screamed in pain.

Vincent and Vincy rushed toward them.

Vincy looked around and noticed a large stone on the ground.

He picked it up and struck the creature on the head.

It didn’t let go.

Vincy struck it again.

Still, the creature held on.

He hit it repeatedly until, finally, the creature released Flora and collapsed onto the floor.

It was dead.

Vincent and Vincy stared at each other in shock.

Neither of them said a word.

They took Flora back to the house and locked her inside her room again.

No one treated her injuries.

She was bleeding and crying in pain.

After several minutes, Flora’s body began to feel strange.

She became sick.

Her body started shaking violently.

She fell to the floor and shivered uncontrollably.

Then, suddenly, she stopped.

Everything became quiet.

Flora took a deep breath.

Something inside her had changed.

Her skin began healing from within. The wounds on her body slowly closed.

Then blood suddenly trickled from her nose.

Flora opened her eyes.

She felt something she had never experienced before.

Hunger.

But this was different from ordinary hunger.

She stood up and began hitting the door.

Then she heard someone approaching.

She immediately stopped.

The door opened.

Vincy stood outside.

“What do you think you’re doing?” he asked.

“I’m starving,” Flora replied.

“And what do you want me to do now?”

Flora stared at him.

“I want you.”

Vincy frowned.

“I feel like eating you,” she whispered.

Before he could react, Flora pushed him to the floor.

She grabbed his wrist and bit into it.

Vincy screamed in pain and tried to escape from her but could not.

He tried to pull himself away, but Flora’s strength had suddenly become frighteningly powerful.

She tore at his flesh and ate it.

Vincy managed to stand up and begin to scream.

Flora stood up and watched him scream, she held him and start pulling his flesh and was feeding on it till she was satisfied, then she licked the blood around her mouth.

She slowly stood up and stared at Vincy.

Vincent appeared.

He looked at Vincy in horror.

“Bro, what happened to you?” he asked.

Vincy could barely answer.

“What did you do to him?” Vincent asked Flora fearfully.

Flora looked at him.

“I’m sorry,” she said quietly.

Then she began walking toward him.

“Don’t go close to her!” Vincy warned.

But Vincent didn’t listen.

Flora grabbed him on the neck.

He struggled to escape, but she was too strong.

He looked around desperately and noticed a bottle nearby. He grabbed it and struck Flora on the head.

She stopped.

Slowly, she turned her head toward him.

Her eyes fixed on him.

She grabbed him by the neck.

He struggled against her, but after a while he managed to push her away and escape.

Flora didn’t chase him.

Instead, she quietly walked away.

She wandered through the house until she found the kitchen.

She stood there silently, staring at the food around her.

Tears rolled down her cheeks.

Something inside her had changed forever.

The next morning, a couple was driving to work when they suddenly noticed someone walking along the road.

They stopped their vehicle and got out to investigate.

They were shocked by what they saw.

Flora stood there motionless.

Her clothes were dirty and torn, and she looked weak and confused.

The couple quickly rushed her to the hospital.

A doctor examined her carefully and after the examination, he returned to the couple to tell them the news.

“ There is nothing seriously wrong with her. She only has a small injury on hand” he said with a smile.

“ Thank you doctor, we really appreciate” the man said.

“ I will be taking my leave” the doctor said before leaving.

For several minutes, Flora was still unconscious. Then she finally regained consciousness.

She slowly opened her eyes and find herself in a hospital room.

She slowly sat up and looked around.

A nurse entered the room carrying a plate of food.

“Here is your food,” the nurse said, handing the plate to her.

Flora took it and placed it on her lap.

It was rice and chicken on the plate.

She picked up a piece of chicken, took a bite, and immediately spat it out.

She looked at the nurse.

“This doesn’t have blood,” she said to the nurse.

“What do you mean by that?” the nurse asked.

“I mean the chicken you gave me doesn’t have blood. I need something that has blood,” Flora said softly.

The nurse thought Flora was out of her mind, so she said nothing and left the room.

Flora stood up and walked out of the hospital room.

She searched for a way to leave the hospital and finally found one.

She was happy when she reached the outside.

She was now standing in the middle of a city.

People were walking along the streets, and cars were passing by.

Suddenly, Flora began to smell blood.

The smell became stronger.

She became hungry.

At last, she found the source.

Unfortunately, it was a man with a seriously injured leg. Blood was flowing from his wound.

Flora tried to turn away, but she could not control herself.

She slowly walked toward him.

Suddenly, her sharp teeth came out.

She lunged toward the man’s neck and began sucking his blood.

The man screamed for help.

People nearby heard his screams and came running toward him.

When they saw blood coming from his neck, they realized something was terribly wrong.

They quickly tried to pull Flora away.

They dragged her off the man, and she fell to the ground.

The injured man also fell and began screaming in pain.

Everyone started shouting.

More people gathered around to see what was happening.

When Flora recovered, she realized that something inside her had changed.

She knew she was a vampire.

The man began shaking violently on the ground.

After a while, he stopped moving.

Flora slowly stood up.

She saw another man nearby and attacked him, feeding on him.

The people around them became terrified.

Then they noticed something horrifying.

The man Flora had attacked began turning into a zombie.

Nobody knew what was happening until someone in the crowd screamed:

“Zombie!”

Everyone began running for their lives.

Flora ran too.

As she ran, she noticed that a car was chasing her.

She tried to escape, but she was hit by a bottle thrown at her.

People around her screamed and shouted.

Suddenly, a trailer came toward her.

The trailer ran over her.

Flora’s body was crushed beneath the tire.

But then she suddenly opened her eyes.

She struggled to stand.

Her bones began breaking and joining back together.

The foot that had been crushed under the trailer tire slowly returned to normal. Her other leg, which had been twisted backward, moved back into its normal position.

Her bent arm also straightened.

After the transformation was complete, Flora stood up and looked toward the car that had been chasing her.

She tried to see the person inside, but she could not.

People were running everywhere, their eyes wide with fear.

The car drove toward her.

Flora ran toward it, but the car hit her.

She fell to the ground and quickly stood up.

She stared angrily at the person inside the car.

She ran toward the vehicle again, but it hit her a second time.

This time, her leg broke.

Within two minutes, however, it healed and returned to normal.

Flora stood up and stared at the car.

This time, she was ready.

She ran and jumped onto the car.

Using her long nails, she scratched and tore at the vehicle until the body of the car was covered with deep marks.

The driver began driving recklessly.

Flora attacked the car again, causing the driver to lose control.

The car crashed.

Flora broke the window and tried to get inside.

Then she saw who was driving.

It was Vincent.

Vincent struggled to get out of the car.

Flora wanted to attack him, but she suddenly stopped.

Immediately, she heard police sirens.

She quickly jumped down from the car.

A police van was approaching.

Flora ran.

As she escaped, she attacked anyone who got in her way.

People around her were taking pictures and recording everything that was happening.

One of the policemen aimed at her and shot her in the hand.

She felt the pain, but she did not stop.

Instead, she ran even faster.

The police chased her until they eventually lost sight of her.

When she reached a quiet place, she collapsed to the ground and became unconscious.

Later that evening, Flora regained consciousness.

She slowly opened her eyes and saw someone looking at her.

She quickly stood up and looked at the person.

It was a ten-year-old boy.

“Hey, don’t be scared of me. My name is Clifford. What’s your name?” he asked, stretching out his hand for a handshake.

Flora looked at him but refused to shake his hand.

“Who are you?” she asked.

“Like I said before, my name is Clifford. And you?”

“My name is Flora.”

“I heard what happened over the radio. They said people turned into zombies, but the soldiers killed them all. They were even able to spray the area. The police are also looking for you.

“So tell me, are you a zombie? Because if you’re a zombie, you could be looking for someone to eat. Zombies don’t have brains, and they don’t know themselves.”

Flora stared at him, trembling.

As he spoke, she remembered her past.

She remembered being locked up.

She remembered being attacked.

She remembered eating human flesh.

Tears began pouring from her eyes.

“Please don’t cry,” Clifford said.

“I’m a blood-sucking demon. I’m a monster. You are not safe with me. I have to go.

I don’t want to harm you.

“No, you can’t go out there. The police and soldiers are looking for you. Your pictures are everywhere.”

Flora placed her hand on her chest and listened to her heartbeat.

Then something strange happened.

She began hearing things from far away.

She could hear voices, cars, people talking, birds crying, and even a baby crying.

The sounds became too loud.

She covered her ears and began screaming.

Clifford tried to calm her down, but she refused.

She stood up and headed outside.

Clifford followed her, but Flora stopped him.

“Stop following me. You are not safe with me. Please go away!” she shouted.

He stood there, watching her.

Flora ran out of the room and headed toward nowhere in particular.

People who saw her began hiding, while others ran away.

Then she heard police sirens coming from far away.

She began running.

The police spotted her and chased her.

Everywhere she went, they followed her until they eventually lost her again.

Flora hid near a place where clothes had been hung out to dry.

She took a gown from the clothesline.

She put on the gown and covered her head.

Then she rubbed her hands against the ground until they became stained with dirt. She rubbed the dirt onto her face, making it look as though she had applied makeup.

She came out of her hiding place and saw the police searching for her.

She decided to walk past them.

She did.

They did not recognize her.

She continued walking down the street until she finally found a bus.

She entered and sat quietly.

The bus was filled with people, mostly women.

They were talking about what had happened earlier that day.

The person they were talking about was Flora.

They called her a beast.

Flora did not make a move.

She simply sat and listened.

She could hear everyone’s heartbeat.

She could also hear what they were thinking.

She even began seeing things that were happening far away.

Eventually, she reached her destination and asked the driver to stop.

She got down and began walking away without paying.

The driver stopped her.

“Lady, you haven’t paid,” he said.

“I’m sorry, sir. I don’t have any money with me,” she replied.

“Are you joking? Madam, you better give me my money if you don’t want to

cause any problems.”

Before Flora could respond, Clifford interrupted.

He apologized to the driver and explained that he had the money and had forgotten to give it to Flora.

The driver accepted the money and drove away.

Flora stood there, staring at Clifford.

He looked away and pretended not to notice her.

Flora decided not to ask him why he had followed her.

She crossed the road and went to the other side.

Clifford quietly followed her.
