The One Boy I Hated Was the One I Couldn’t Forget Episode 1

Season 1 · Episode 1

The Worst First Impression

There are some people you meet and immediately know you are never going to like them.

For me, that person was Damian Cole.

And unfortunately, I met him on my very first day at Westbridge University.

I was already running late.

My phone was at twelve percent.

My stomach was growling.

And I had exactly three minutes to find Lecture Hall B.

“Great,” I muttered, staring at the campus map on my phone. “First day and I’m already lost.”

I hurried across the courtyard, trying to avoid the crowd of students rushing to their classes.

Then someone stepped directly in front of me.

I stopped.

Too late.

My iced coffee flew out of my hand.

SPLASH.

It landed all over a black shirt.

Silence.

I slowly looked up.

Tall.

Handsome.

Annoyingly handsome.

His jaw tightened as he looked down at his ruined shirt.

Then his eyes met mine.

“Are you serious?”

I blinked.

“Excuse me?”

“You just poured coffee on me.”

I looked at his shirt.

Then at my empty cup.

Then back at him.

“Oh.”

His eyebrow lifted.

“That’s all you have to say?”

I crossed my arms.

“What exactly do you want me to say?”

“Maybe an apology?”

I stared at him.

“Fine. I’m sorry.”

He waited.

I frowned.

“What?”

“You don’t sound sorry.”

“Well, maybe because you’re making it very difficult to be.”

His expression changed.

For a second, he looked genuinely surprised.

Then he laughed.

Not a nice laugh.

An irritated one.

“You’re new here.”

It wasn’t a question.

“How do you know?”

“I’ve never seen you before.”

“Congratulations.”

He stepped closer.

“You always this difficult?”

I smiled sweetly.

“Only when people deserve it.”

His eyes narrowed.

“Damian.”

I frowned.

“What?”

“My name.”

“I didn’t ask.”

He stared at me.

I stared back.

Then someone behind him called out.

“Damian! We’re going to be late!”

He glanced over his shoulder before looking back at me.

“Try not to destroy anyone else’s clothes today.”

I rolled my eyes.

“Try not to stand in people’s way.”

I walked away before he could answer.

My heart was beating ridiculously fast.

Not because I liked him.

Absolutely not.

I was just angry.

Very angry.

At least that’s what I told myself.

Ten minutes later, I finally found Lecture Hall B.

I rushed inside, whispered an apology to the lecturer, and searched for an empty seat.

There was one.

Right beside a girl with long braids.

I sat down.

She smiled.

“First day?”

“Is it that obvious?”

She laughed.

“Very.”

“I’m Amara.”

“Zara.”

Before I could say anything else, the lecturer walked in.

“Good morning, everyone. Before we begin, we have one new student joining us this semester.”

I froze.

The lecturer looked toward the door.

“Damian, come in.”

My stomach dropped.

No.

The same guy from outside walked into the room.

He looked around.

Then his eyes landed on me.

A slow smile appeared on his face.

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” I whispered.

Zara looked at me.

“You know him?”

I sighed.

“Unfortunately.”

The lecturer pointed toward the only empty seat.

“Damian, you can sit beside Amara.”

My mouth fell open.

Damian walked toward me.

He stopped beside my desk.

“Looks like we’re classmates.”

I stared at him.

“Don’t talk to me.”

He smiled.

“Trust me, princess. The feeling is mutual.”

He sat down.

I clenched my jaw.

This was going to be the longest semester of my life.

And I had absolutely no idea…

**that the boy I hated on my first day would eventually become the boy I couldn’t imagine losing.**
