To help keep your account safe, the platform may ask you to verify your identity with a one-time code during login, in addition to your password.
When this happens
This extra verification step can appear during certain logins that the system flags as needing an additional check, such as signing in from a device or location that looks unfamiliar.
How it works
When triggered, you will be asked to enter a one-time code sent to your email, in addition to your regular password. Once you enter the correct code, you will be signed in as normal. The code is only valid for a short window of time, so if it expires, you can request a new one.
Keeping your account secure
Make sure the email address on your account is one you have regular access to, since it is used for this verification step. If you ever receive a one-time code you did not request, it is a good sign to change your password right away.
