Direct messages let you have a private, one-on-one conversation with another user on the platform, such as a reader reaching out to a creator.
How it works
From a user’s profile, you can start a conversation with them. Messages are sent and received privately between the two of you and are separate from public comments and from the platform’s chatbot assistant.
Starting and continuing a conversation
Once a conversation has started, you can view the full thread and continue messaging from your messages dashboard, where you will also find any other conversations you are part of.
Message length
There is a maximum length for each individual message, so very long messages may need to be split into more than one.
Staying respectful
Direct messages are meant for genuine conversation between users. Please keep messages respectful and report any conversation that feels inappropriate or unsafe.
